Textvertising offer a Premium Rate system to allow you to generate revenue using SMS. This is normally done with an associated service such as a text raffle, text competition or text voting service.

Textvertising operate 10 shared MT billed shortcodes. MT means "mobile terminated". This means that billing occurs when the reply messages terminates on the mobile and allows for flexibility in billing.

The reply that comes back performs the billing. We offer the flexibility of either sending back no message, a free message or a billed message costing between 10p and £5.

We can provide both dedicated and shared shortcodes for premium rate. The cheapest option is shared, where you only rent the word you need for the time you need and tag it to the service you need.

Compliance

The regulations have changed and a new registration scheme starts on 1/9/2011

www.PhonePayPlus.org.uk - the regulatory body of premium rate services - require all providers of premium rate services to comply with a code of practice and from the 1st of Sptember 2011 to register as a Level 2 or 3 operator if they have control over the service they provide.
